This is a old Brother sewing machine from Japan. I am not sure how old it is, it was my mother in law's, she was an avid sewer and worked many years for an awning repair shop. She upholstered furniture for her home and used this machine. The machine is very heavy and has all of the original instructions and parts from the manufacturer printed in Japanese.

I have this same machine. It was my mother-in-law's as well. I still use it but do not have any of the manuals is there any way I could get copies of any of the documents you have?

Any chance of a clearer picture of the main machine body? It's very nice.

Also under the machine it will probably have Light Manufacturing Japan markings. These look like J-A or J-C, the J is actually a J and an L combined which makes it look like a -

Lovely item, welcome to CW..an amazing amount of ppl have joined based on the machines...makes you wonder how many ppl have items that they think aren't worth showing because they're not a pretty vase or an exotic piece of far flung jewellery...
I think it's great new members are showing things that are different to what we usually see...
