Hello Everyone, If I am on the wrong site, please forgive me. I didn't know where to turn. I bought this painting as part of of a collection at an estate sale. They were almost all reproductions. I think painted by art students. I was able to identify the others, but I cannot find any information on this one... at all. I was thinking of painting over it and reusing the canvas. Before doing so, I wanted to check around and see what I could learn. I am curious if that is a man or a woman, what era is depicted, the story behind the painting. If you have any information at all, I would love to learn more.
