I found this bottle at the thrift store for I think $.50. I'm not a bottle collector at all, but this was in a box of some really cool old looking bottles. I tried to do some research, but was bombarded by all the info that's out there. I took it to the local antique shop, and there was a man there who was really interested in it. He offered me $10, but wouldn't tell me anything about it. I decided not to sell it because he was being a jerk, and if think it's cool that I found a bottle stamped Butler, Pa on the bottom (where I'm currently living.) Can anyone tell me anything about it? Maybe how old it is? Or if it's rare? It's a coke green color and really heavy for being a tiny bottle! Thanks so much!

You need to put in your description the wording printed under Coca-Cola and also a better picture of the bottle mark. - Straighten the pictures too, I won't help if I have to look at it sideways.

What you have there is a Pat. D or D Patent Coca Cola bottle. Yours was made in 1948 and appears to be in excellent condition. Nice collecible bottle, however the value is not that much.

That bottle would have been from the Butler, Pa Coca Cola Bottling Plant at 106 First St in Butler. My family owns the Butler Ambulance Service with our main station at that First Street location. My grandfather bought the building from Coca Cola in 1970, it had been closed down several years before that. We still have some of the old Coke stuff that was left here by them. Pretty cool find for a Thrift store!
