Found this in a wall I'm not sure what kind it is can ya help. This is what it says on the inside A. Dubois Baillod , Lode Luissel Hands Detached Lever 13 Jewels N=0 9181. It still works. It's nice I don't know what kind it is or how old can you help, Thanks
Well it was a house in central no that was built in 1862. This was my first home I was renovating it in the lover level of the parlor the walls were made out of what looked to be old wooden lath. I was removing the old plaster and cloth like wall . I guess really old like sheet rock. And when we had all the stuff knocked off the studs on a small cross wood beam I saw what I first thought was an old can top I put the flash light on it and in the metal old tin was a bunch of dust and this pocket watch with a small chain and key that was in the picture. So now this was 15 years ago I had put it in a safe place now I have a little time and I'm trying to figure out how old and who made it.. Thanks be good.
Really like old pocket watches, looks like a nice one.
I don't know nothing about this particular watch, but styling and key wind and set would suggest mid to late 1800's. (1870's-90's). Nice timepiece
Beautiful! I always wonder what the story is when a piece is found like that. Did someone set it down while working? Hiding it? Neat!

Thanks, got it! Antoine DuBois is a very old Swiss maker and firm founded in Le Locle a bit earlier than 1785 (the detached lever movement was implemented as early as 1754 by Thomas Mudge, an English watchmaker).
There is a bunch of stuff out there under that name. Hope that helps, Dannyyuill.
Here's one similar to yours, note it's gold, but styling, jewel count and the "Baillod" name, circa 1880's
