For as long as I can remember,(I'm now 50), this clock sat on my Aunt's mantle. Always shiny and never been needed winding.

ooo thats a very pretty Jaeger Lecoultre Atmos clock,..very cool and worth a pretty decent chunk of change...it might be a good thing to find a REALY good clock guy and have it serviced,..will cost a few bucks but will definitly make it live longer,..supposed to be serviced every 20 years but who remembers that long an aniversary? heres a good site to check out,.and im full on envious if you got it,..very cool and run on changes in temperature and air pressure so as close to perpetual motion as anyone has come up with http://atmosadam.com/
also the square dial is kind of a premium thing so take REAL good care of it,..there is a small lever below the face of the clock to lock the pendulum ,..PLEASE don't move it without locking it down,..can really mess it up from my reading,..
I have found the original box and lid including the attached strap and buckle still mostly intact!
It's amazingly fun to find what folks from that generation kept the boxes to.
The box says HERITAGE on it.
