Found this at GW's for a mere fifty cents. A Sheaffer's "Dry Proof" fountain pen holder from the 1940's. It has a circular onyx base in primarily white with some pink and caramel veining. The original Sheaffer's paper label is still on the side of the base. The base measures 3.5 inches diameter. The brown socket has a 14 kt gold filled band.It should have a matching fountain pen with the same 14 kt band. -Mike-
