This was purchased in Kobe, Japan in 1938. I was told that it is called a "Mandarin Coat" but cannot find any information using that name. It measures 44" from sleeve to sleeve and is 48" in length. Does anyone know what this beautiful specimen is called? The designs are all woven into the silk. Thanks for your help.

Does anyone know what this is? I think it is different from a kimono.
