A friend of mine, Forrest D. Poston, an expert on "Fat Lava", just posted this on his Facebook page:
"We are creatures of the quest, fed by the seeking. Without the quest, we wither into Thoreau's "quiet desperation". If you know nothing else to seek, then seek for your quest"
Here are some of my favorite "Czech Deco Export" Kralik examples (the cattail piece might be earlier?). Most are large - largest 11.5 inches tall. The fourth picture shows my two most prized examples in this grouping.
I hope you enjoy them. Best seen in the "enlarged views".
Nice group of glass love the middle two groups and the yellow fan vase in the first group.
Thanks everyone
Thanks Gary
Thank you valentino97. Great quote from Forrest and the "quest" could be for knowledge, understanding, beauty, etc - not just the glass itself.
Fancy way to say we are all bunch of pack rats... Heehee... Just kidding. I LOVE the quote and may just borrow it when my husband gets my nerves about my collections...
Love that yellow fan vase in the first pic!!!
Thanks, the fan vase is special to me as well
I like that quote! Treasures fab too!
Oh, and I quest to come and steal all those treasures...:))
AmberRose - BEWARE our house is protected by ITSY, our sixteen year old shih tzu.
Love them all but especially the yellow fan in in the first photo...:-)
Ernie : so you're the "Kralik Thief". The last vase on the right was supposed to be mine. Thought I bid high enough BUT apparently not.
Only kidding.....can't think of a better collector / friend to have it.
Yes, it was me - guilty as charged - but the eBay "sold price" is wrong. Got it on a Second Chance offer for $10 more than your bid and $$ hundreds less than it appears on eBay - hope that isn't "rubbing salt in the wound"
Ernie
inky,
Love that pair of Kralik Double Tube Flower Vases
