Very large and heavy bowl. I feel in love with the colors and needed a fruit bowl for the center of the table. I'm really not sure about the mark on the bottom but to me it looks like SH or HS.....I may be wrong. Any ideas out there about this mystery bowl of mine? I have enclosed additional pic's with talc powder to try and highlight the mark on the bottom.

hi, try rubbing some white talc powder on it to highlight the letters, and post us a pic.

I am not sure but maybe even ----> S.f. for letters???

      Morning.....been trying to help here.

Might it be SUE HARDIE (Australia) ?????? Just throwing it out there and you can have a look at these:

Does it have both a *raised mark* and a *impressed mark* as the pics you posted makes it look like one mark is raised, and the other (with the powder) look like it is an impressed mark.

Let us know -- as maybe this is NOT (Sue hardie) the correct maker Yet???

antiquerose the mark is "impressed". I also thought maybe Sue Hardie....but then I found some marks that made me think it is Sylvia Hardaker ...Leach Pottery
Sylvia spent two years there training in all aspects of a working potter. She was encouraged to make her own pieces, which would be priced and sold in the showroom or at the New Craftsman Gallery; the proceeds of these sales were used to start her own workshop The Kenilworth Pottery in Warwickshire....but I'm not really sure. I appreciate you help.....maybe we can figure this one out.
