Sessions Golden Retriever Mantle Clock

This is Rory. Any help identifying this clock is much appreciated. My Grandfather left me a Sessions Mantle Clock made in 1934 (at least that's the number on the bottom of the dog). It looks like the cord was replaced in probably the seventies or sixties (?). The clock is in pristine condition. I can't find another one or any information on the clock on the internet.

It says Modern Mfg Co Phila 34 PA on the bottom of the dog.

1. Does the clock date to 1934?
2. Any idea of the value of the clock?
3. Is the collar original?
4. Is there a name for this clock?

Thanks for any information you might have. I have had it plugged in for two weeks and it is in perfect sync with my atomic clock. I think that's amazing.
