Found this Cocktail Shaker in a box in the attic & it was love at first sight!! It's about 10" tall and a lovely deep purple color. The image doesn't do it justice. It was in a box with other glass items that are mainly Fostoria Victorian, Fostoria Lafeyette (all Amethyst). This shaker is a much deeper purple color than the other pieces. Does anyone know anything about this Shaker?

Fostoria did make a line of glassware with this stacked ball design; #2518 c.1930s. The catalog I could find shows a 4 ball stack shaker and several other 3 stack pitchers and vases; so possibly a 3-ball stack shaker as well.

I still can't ID this Shaker! Don't think it's Fostoria because the color is too deep a purple. Can't find it anywhere online (new at this so don't have catologs, etc). Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

reading the cocktail description in the Fostoria catalog indicates that there was a 2518 1/2 shaker that was smaller; which would be this three-ball stack. The shaker pictured is the larger 2518 four-ball stack.

Thanks for your input. A local Antique glass dealer also said it may be from a smaller company of the same era that made small quantities of glassware that looked similar to the glassware from the bigger companies such as Fostoria. She is checking into that and I'll ask her about the Fostoria line 2518 also. Now I'm too curious to stop looking, this is fun! Stay tuned!
tho' maybe remotely possibly by another company; it isn't likely, as Fostoria was the owner of the patent for that particular top, making it less likely that another company made this one.

Tall Cakes you were right about the Fostoria line 2518. My shaker is the smaller version of the one that is actually shown in the 1936 Fostoria catalogue. Also found many of our other pieces in that same catalogue! Grandma must have loved Fostoria glass. Thanks so much for your help.
