      WWII entrenching tool cover - most likely German, but see if it fits your Jugoslavian shovel. The designs were similar

      Appears to be an ammo pouch. Probably late 1800's or up to 1917.

      Nope, the squared off shovel blade slid into the leather frame and the strap wrapped around the handle. the two shorter straps hung it from the belt or field pack.
