I acquired this chest from a local auction. The picture does not show it well but it is a light green and very worn. The little drawer shelf inside is removable and it says Seydoux & Co.(?) imprinted on it and Paris imprinted under that. I cannot find anything on this company there are no fittings on the side or bottom. Can anyone tell me about this trunk and its value?????

It's quite possible that it's homemade from an old packing crate.

      Nice old box.

Walkso, That was exactly what I thought. The entire box looks to have been made by a handy man. I don't see the green at all.

I put a green photo in, I still think it was produced by the company whose name is engraved on the shelf....can someone tell me about this company. I am still interested in other theories. Thanks for the replies so far
