Haven't run across any paintings since last Summer, but a quick stop at our local Salvation Army yielded this 24"x48" beauty. It almost didn't fit in my Civic but a little front seat adjustment and it just fit in back. Whew!! These sofa paintings from the 50's thru 70's sure are are big ! It's a nice impressionist landscape done in muted colors and a thick impasto style of painting.It's signed David in the lower right corner. It also has a bunch of tags on the back. The artist's bio which I think is made up in my opinion, because you can never find anything about these "acclaimed" artists...lol. Factory warehouse and showroom tags. The canvas is also stamped with the registry number and the title of the painting which is simply "Lands". Probably short for landscape written on the canvas in pencil. A nice vintage piece for very little money .
