Bought these quite a few years ago 20 ish 2nd hand from a lady that wanted £600, aparently they came from the antique sales dept of Harrods , London, she thought they were chinese & so did I til recently I thought ide try and find out more about them, ive found that they have the lion & sun mark for iranian pottery, also on the necks of the vases they have the iranian coat of arms .. they are immaculate condition & about 28" high , ive tried to find out more on websites but haven't found anything similar , any info would be appreciated.

According to marks4antiques this generic mark was used between 1846-1979, however as your pieces also have an actual set of maker’s initials, you may be able to research it further and get more of an idea of their age. Can you post a picture of the vases, maybe taken in daylight, so we can see the decoration better?

Hi marya, ill take a daytime photo and list it tomorrow,
many thanx for your info, I actually found the dates you suggested on the same site but couldnt find anything to do with makers marks for iranian pottery , if it helps the pots are transfer painted and colours are slightly different in places .. even the coat of arms are painted in different colours on each pot , but definatly a pair , they also came with ornate blacked wood bases but dunno if theyre originals.
