I found this piece last year once again in someone's "what is it?" pile. I took it home, cleaned it up, and used it in a lamp I have. I've read some attributions that indicate this was a Bakalowitz glass shade, but people throw names around so much that honestly it gets really old with me. I just appreciate the workmanship, artistry, and thought that went into the piece.

In the past I have seen these in multiple shade configurations hanging down from brass fixtures.

Hello, I will try my best to shed some light on this topic.
There are some original photos of these shades out of old magazines namely The Studio or Deutsche Kunst und Dekoration, and they were produced by Loetz. They were used as shades for chandeliers by Koloman Moser. Anyhow nowadays the chandeliers and the shades are beeing reproduced by an Austrian company called Woka Lampen.
Unfortunately I can't tell from that single photograph if this is Loetz Glass or new glass. Could you add more photos?
