This lamp belonged to my Aunt and I have always loved it. My Mother said it was the ugliest lamp she had ever seen. I cannot find any maker marks. It is soft paste porcelain. Wondering if anyone has seen any similar type of lamp? Grateful for any feedback.

I've never seen one. Does it have any markings on the bottom?
    2. glassaddict glassaddict, 11 years ago
The bottom is covered in felt. I have checked on all the metal parts and cannot find any markings.

I have seen that form head . The photo is to small for me to be sure , What is her hair made of also ?
    4. glassaddict glassaddict, 11 years ago
The hair is painted under glaze just like the rest of the bust. My Aunt purchased this lamp I would say in 1944/45. Hope someone can solve this because I have tried for so long to get some information on it.

She is molded like a Lamoreaux mannequin style . Google that name .

I haven't seen anything like her!

Manikin I checked out the Lamoreaux web site and they look similar but not the same as far as I can tell. Thank you for your interest and please let me know if you come up with any other ideas. I am going to take some closer pictures to add and again thanks. glassaddict

I was referring to shape of her as much like Lamoreaux not that she is the mannequin :-) . I believe a larger photo would help :-) and a close up of face . Stunning

I think she was made from a mannequin store head . I would love to see her close up. Here is another with same form
