Beautiful pair of silver mounted flintlock dueling pistols, believed to have been created as presentation pieces. From the hallmarks and maker's mark, we believe they were crafted by the London shop of Michael Barnett in the mid-1780s. Found a similar pair in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Really lovely pieces. The ramrod is missing on one of the pistols, but that is their only "flaw."

Beautiful! I have a lots of antique guns perserved and in storage until my kiddos get older. Seeing these makes me want to pull them out.

I have an old silver trimmed blunderbuss that I might post also. I've understood it was possibly a Persian piece, and not very valuable, but it's still beautiful and unusual.

We have been in communication about these & I still drool on my keyboard when I see them. The market is down as I've told you, but these are museum quality & don't let them go cheap.
