Hoping some one can tell me something about this little box with the engraved lid.
I've found out the painting it's made from is called Tavern Scene - Man holding a glass and an old woman lighting a pipe.
It's signed D'apres Teniers on the bottom left and I can't make out the words on the right.
It looks old, but I'm not sure.
Anyone know anything about it?
Beautiful!!!
Above the scene is written: Au Cabaret.
It has been cleaned of the original silver plated finish.
The manufacturers on the bottom right read: FERRE & BOTTINI . GR
GR for "Graveurs" engravers, I suppose.
There's another here:

Thanks, vertraio50!
