Picked this up a couple of days ago at GW. It's 12" H x 5 " in diameter at it's widest. I thought the odd purple/amber color and shape were very interesting. It appears to be hand blown and the base is joined to the body with a clear transitional piece of glass. Looks a bit like a Venini vase but there are no marks or labels anywhere. Has a few air bubbles and you can see the swirls in the glass on the top portion. -Mike-
reminds me of the venini veronese....
but the diameter isn't big enough...
beautiful!!!
Great shape and color!
Thanks getthatmonkeyoutofme,Sean, and pops52 :) It is really nice. I did forget the dimensions though. It's 12"H x 5" in diameter at it's widest. -Mike-
Been looking at some Vernini pieces and they do make large 7.5 diameter ones but also vases in a 12.5 x 5.5 diameter, which is the same dimensions as this piece. Now I'm starting to wonder! -Mike-
