When I looked at the mark on the bottom of this vase (pics 3 and 4) I thought I had something I had not seen before - a marked Harrach example of "Czech Deco Export Glass" - but although the mark looks somewhat LIKE Harrach, it is not.
For comparisons pics 1 and 2 show an Art Nouveau or Jugendstil Harrach example that I own and its markings.
Thanks Marty and Warren.
What I don't understand is the following:
1. This certainly looks to be Art Deco Czech
2. It doesn't have a "Czechoslovakia" provenance mark
3. It is marked as shown
Therefore:
1. Is the mark an identifying marker's mark?
2. If it is Art Deco after 1918 (?), does this mean the vase was exported to somewhere other than the USA initially and eventually got here - or is this a somewhat earlier piece?
Thanks, Leah
