ATTWOOD
(155 items)
This one has no lid .I love the orange color.Dragon on one side and phoenix or pheasant on the other Phoenix and Dragon - wife and husband, signifies wedded bliss, also symbol for Empress and Emperor, bird and animal kingdoms = entire natural world
I am unsure of mark underneath as it is very faint
I am not sure of age of this one but guess 1950's
Thanks for the love guys!
I think you are quite good at dating.
Hi Attwood. Thanks for suggesting Nippon for my vase. The only thing which makes me question it slightly, is they say on the link you sent me that Nippon bases can have a blue hue, i wouldn't have said it did.
Regarding this ginger jar...snap!

We both have excellent taste :)
Also thanks for the interpretation. I never knew what the Phoenix & dragon symbolised. I agree with you, the orange on these are wonderful, very vibrant.
Another also:)...i thought you may like to see this as you like Asian ceramics.
