This is another small miracle of patience. This little flower Micro Mosaic star brooch is made of very tiny tesserae and set in Vermeil. The hallmark to see on photo 4 is an Italian silver hallmark from 1870 to present days. There is a digit beneath of an 1 (purity degree 950/1000), 2 (purity degree 900/1000) or 3 (purity degree 800/1000) indicates the silver content. But with the best microscope and wants of my hand, this is indecipherable. It's a cute little brooch with a diameter of 3 cm and beautiful finish of border that resemble stellar jets.

Right now I would like you to put on all your gardens and take a picture. It snowed again last night...need to remember what Spring looks like.
AmberRose, we have winter here too, but so warm as this winter here it was not for I believe hundred years. No snow at all and hardly no freezing. But still I want to see spring too. Although we have, very early (too early indeed) crocuses, a spring flower!

This has been a horrible winter in Chicago. 5th worst in recorded history so far. 72 inches of snow so far, and we are having a snowstorm as I type. It's just grinding.
That's funny as I was just asking around if anyone had seen a crocuses.
AmberRose, With you so it is an extremely cold winter and heavy with us the opposite one too "warm" winter. The whole climate is beaten runaway. I hope for you it again soon as warmer and you see crocuses soon, I send greeting to you with a little bouquet of Micro Mosaic flowers.
