Vintage Sterling Ring Marked BOB with Pearl

I found this ring and at first considered it very ugly. I put it back and before leaving, I asked to have a second look. When I tried it on, it started to grow on me – I didn’t find it that ugly anymore, and now I actually find it charming and interesting.

The ring is marked “BOB” and “STER” and has a real pearl mounted in the centre.

I am not sure what it is but it has a “seventies” feel to me. How about brutalism? In any case I believe it is a vintage piece.
