Knobby vase with lots of Sparkle.
Is it about 9.25 inches high, 5 inches wide at the widest point. The top opening is about 4 inches. The top rim looks polished. I had a hard time getting a good pic of it -- as I think the *sparkle* from the vase had my camera adjusting more due to the shine. Could be Sklo Union??
Design shows a Hollywood Regency style, IMHO....Very pretty
Red Foil label on the bottom is an *Import* label from LIPPER & MANN. Lipper & Mann started their Import Company in 1946, scroll down: http://www.mygrannysatticantiques.com/html/porcelain_pottery_china_marks_1.htm
Hi Does the base of your vase have two faint lines crossing at right angles? This cross may be off-centre.
I will have a look......are you referring to the Lorraine Cross ??
Have to look more close here...
No, not a "formal" cross. Just two faint lines that cross indicating that a four part mould was used in manufacture. If you can see those lines I can be sure of the maker.
@sklo42 -- Yes it has faint lines that cross like a four part mold was used to make
Who do you think the maker is?
I was also advised a long time ago about that Import label that:
"""Lipper and Mann became Lipper International when Lipper bought out Mann in 1963, so that gives you a good date range for your piece of between 1946 - 1963. """
Does that date go with who you think the maker is? Thxs, waiting to hear!!
Your vase was made by Borske Sklo, a group of Czech factories, but a different group from Sklo Union. First introduced in the late 50's the Optic Range always featured some sort of surface texture. They came in various shapes and colours, but the clear ones had further decoration added, such as lustres and iridescence.
As I've never seen one with sparkle please tell me, Is the glass clear or amber? Is the sparkle within all the glass or on top?
@sklo42 -- Thanks for your info.
I would say on the outside of the glass as it looks splattered on, YET you can not feel it or scratch it off. It is a VERY Striking piece!!!
(( How do I post more pics here ??? Help...as will post more surface pics ))
Also, in my digging here -- I did manage to find another just like mine with the Gold Splash -- and more of a complete label of Lipper Mann than mine. Found it when I googled LIPPER MANN. Here is that link:

So your Date made falls into the date Lipper Mann were around too, so that is Good News.
See that is why CW is so GREAT - You can always find something New or have not seen yet. This vintage item was found in Canada -- From Czech. Amazing, eh? Thanks, I will try to post some more images once I figure out HOW to post more here......or where.....Help
