This is a set of uncut natural gemstones from H. Stern Jewelers, Brazil.
It is in a clear plastic topped sectioned display card and included in a silver color cardboard cover box with the H. Stern emblem printed in white.
    - I have shown two pictures of the set in different contrasts to try to evoke the actual colors of the natural stones. - The display card is about 3" by 5"
    - - - The gemtones shown are Amazonite, Tourmaline, Citrine, Amethyst, & Emerald.
*** Hans Stern (1922-2007) was a Brazilian jeweler and businessman. The company was founded in 1945 in order to market Brazilian gems and the first H. Stern store opened on the Rio de Janeiro docks in 1949, the point of arrival for international passengers on cruise ships. Stern was the first to create a worldwide warranty certificate and to offer tours of his workshops to present the creative and production process with integrity and transparency. One of his main goals in life was achieved when important international gemological institutes revised the old "semi-precious" definition of colored stones and began referring to them since as "precious colored stones". The first H. Stern international boutiques appeared in Frankfurt, Lisbon and New York City in the 1970s. - H. Stern is headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and operates in 12 countries specializing in precious and semiprecious stones. His son, Roberto Stern, currently runs the company. The company's jewellery is marked with the letter S within a diamond. In addition, they are often five-pointed stars. ("Stern" means "star" in both German and Yiddish.) - Set is Circa 1990
