When I first saw this tour jacket only the back was visible and I thought it was a more typical US Navy tour jacket.
When I looked at the front, I was pleasantly surprised to see the Airborne Wing above one pocket.
The 11th ABN Division was on occupation duty in the town of Yamagata.
I have a couple of other tour jackets that were also made right after WW2 and they are of a similar style.
This particular example has some unusual painted details to go along with the typical embroidery work.

Thanks vintagelamp. I was mistaken and see now that I haven't posted any of my Vietnam tour jackets on CW.
I will try and post some of them this week.
