I have been trying to find info on iranian makers and read that some of theyre pottery was made in turkey with iran markings but it seems to be a minefield trying to find makers!!
      Ill keep trying though, simon

Great information, OAS. As someone who is learning about these things, I have to say it is also frustrating to see the similarities in styles and decor, when sometimes I can't tell the difference as to where something came from, lol. That's the expert eye, that can see the little details and know what they're looking at!

Oldandsilly :-) many many thanks for all the info !! Your a star!!
There isn't much info on Iranian pottery on the web & I stumbled across the marks by accident whilst looking for another pot mark !!
Just wondering why they would put the imperial family coat of arms on the vases for export?
These marks (lion & sun) are on Gothenburg's Chinese marks as unknown as yet !!
      Thanks again SD:-)
