I found this with a collection of old jewelry I have. You can see that originally it was a brooch, and at a later date someone attached a ring and chain to it to use as a pendant. It measures 1 1/8"
It's definitely an very interesting piece. I don't know enough about vintage jewelry to be able to say what period, country or designer it is from. Just a guess on my part I'd say late 19th or early 20th century.
It's a pretty intricate construction. The first image is a little blurred, but at it's center is a what looks like light blue topaz. The textured pieces don't resemble anything in particular.
The last image is a similar piece I found on the web, but no idea who made these...

What kind of clasp was this? It's not one I've seen before...
I tested this at someone's suggestion and it turns out that it's 10K gold.
