Fuerstenberg, Germany, around 1820.
Footed empire cup with a very fine landscape painting and a magnificent decoration on backside in gold.
The cup is gilded inside and fully marked underneath with the F mark used from 1790-1820.
it also shows the painters number in blue and gilders number in gold.

Wow...what a great find ! So elegant.
As far as I can recognize, this is the town of Grindelwald in Swizzera, you can see the Schreckhorn and at the foot of the mountain a small part of the "upper Grindelwald Glacier".
