I have this whatever and I don't have a clue as to what it is. It maybe a part of something or not. I am totally confused as to what it is. Is it part of a belt? Is it a weapon? Seriously I appreciate any help.

A napkin holder? How long is the chain? Is there a movement/articulation of the the pieces?
    2. stwillia76 stwillia76, 11 years ago
The chain is approximately 30" long. The other piece is approximately 4 1/2" x 2". The round piece does swing. The very sharp end is approximately 1 1/2". Can't tell if it is silver. I want to say there is some kind of mark on the back. It's a total mystery as to what it is but my guess is that it is not a napkin holder.

wow that looks wicked to wear . I have no idea what it is my first thought was a sweater or fur clip to keep it shut but with that sharp point I doubt it . Nice unique post :-)

It's a clothing fastener/buckle, sometimes called a fibula, the needle goes through the fabric. Currently popular in cosplay circles for fastening a cloak. I can't tell from these photos whether it has any age to it but it's meant to imitate an ancient piece.
