Well built Asian Influenced mid century chair?

I am trying to find out the maker for this chair. It is about 33.5 inches tall, 21 wide, and 22 deep. It is a one owner chair and the owner, who is maybe 70, told me that he remembers the chair in his family as a kid so I think it's at least 60 years old. That would date it to the mid 50's at least. Does anyone recognize this chair? Any information would help. Thank you.
