    lived for as long as i can remember nxt to grand parents fire photos are as best as can get them the writing is difficult to make out cat feels hollow but very heavy but not metal

      bretby is old started in 1882 according to wiki but i cant find the actual date of production for the cat. ive found it on ebay so i know cat isnt worth a lot in money value but iwasnt interested in that i am very eager for the history for if

      The number on bottom is mold number not a date

      Oops hit enter to soon the one I sent has a different mold number so I suspect yours may be newer and your's does not appear to have glass eyes . I would say it was made much later than one posted on site .

      Hi thank you ours does have glass eyes too x they almost look like there slotted into the cat rather than stuck think gives it more character n no my grandad has had it since my dad was a baby if mm it longer n dad's 64 so it's a much loved kitty
