bretby made in England 1618
That's what it says on the on bottom , you have a very beautiful piece of English pottery!! :)
I hope you don't get the idea that 1618 is the year it was made.
bretby is old started in 1882 according to wiki but i cant find the actual date of production for the cat. ive found it on ebay so i know cat isnt worth a lot in money value but iwasnt interested in that i am very eager for the history for if

The number on bottom is mold number not a date
Oops hit enter to soon the one I sent has a different mold number so I suspect yours may be newer and your's does not appear to have glass eyes . I would say it was made much later than one posted on site .
Hi thank you ours does have glass eyes too x they almost look like there slotted into the cat rather than stuck think gives it more character n no my grandad has had it since my dad was a baby if mm it longer n dad's 64 so it's a much loved kitty
