Honestly, I do not know much about this item, i was really hoping to learn more about it. It was gifted to me by my grandfather, who obtained it as a gift for helping a lawyer friend of his a long time ago, who collects old war swords. It is in great condition, there are some very interesting inscriptions down the blade. If you could gift me some kind of information to what this sword is and/or how much it is worth i would really appreciate it.

Inscriptions on the blade "In Treue Fest" and on the back is has the name of the creator "Hans Romer Neu-Ulm"

What are the inscriptions down the blade? Based on the photo, I would think it's a dress sword from the late German Imperial era. I can't recall off the top of my head which cavalry units had a single branch sword.

After further inspection and research i learned it says "In Treue Fest" on the blade on both sides within a design. Also, on the back of the bald ei found the name of the creator "Hans Romer Neu-Ulm"

"In Treue Fest" (roughly translated as Steadfast and True), is a motto associated with Bavarian units. Bavaria had it's own Army within the German Empire, which was dominated by Prussia. I'll look up the maker this evening and see if I can narrow down the time period.

I would very much appreciate that.

I found a sword retailer named Hans Romer who was in business from 1870 till 1900. His address was in Wittenberg and not Neu-Ulm, but I think it's too much of a coincidence. Perhaps he worked with a distributer in Neu-Ulm.

Anyway, here's a similar sword that the seller identifies as Bavarian Cuirassier (heavy cavalry):

I just realized the link I sent you had a straight sword and yours is curved. Here's another:
