Here's the last of my finds for this week. It's a little yellow art glass pitcher about 5 1/2" tall. It was on the counter with a Murano swan bowl at our local GW. They wanted a few dollars for this but wanted twenty five for the Murano piece. Way too much for something I really didn't like and I thought this was nicer because of the JIP shape. While yellow is not my favorite color this does have splashes of white with a clear handle. -Mike-

Lovely vase mike, agree with JH, its rather unusual with the handle, it almost looks like it was added as an afterthought

Lol..good observation icollectglass..i agree:) i wonder when Jack in the Pulpit vases got their name, i guess it was the Victorians, they seem to have loved the name Jack, Jack the Ripper & all the nursary rhymes, Jack & Jill, Jack be nimble etc. etc.

Here's some interesting info some of which I already knew.... The Victorians also used flowers as a language to communicate messages of love and sentiment. The Jack-in-the-pulpit stood for fire, and loyalty. It's also the flower for the seventh wedding anniversary. The fire aspect seems to tie in perfectly with the making of glass. -Mike-
