    My Mystery Glass ???

Clear with some *Gold* iridescent near the top half of the vase, hope you can see in Pics. There are 4 applied decorations on it. The top rim appears to be polished, IMHO. There seems to be a light Gold there too. The base has very good wear on the bottom in regards to age. About 5.25 inches high, and 7 inches wide, See the darker pic of it in my habd. ((( Sure NOT small like a Rose Bowl which I do not think it is ))) I think the applied ropes are a bit more *green/aqua* than in the Photos.....Imho

I keep leaning towards older Czech/Bohemian on this one with the polished rim, and wear..........but drawing a blank.

    Any thoughts ARE greatly appreciated.....Thx

?? This is why I was leaning towards Czech/bohemian is something like this:

      http://www.antiques.com/classified/Antique-Glass-/Antique-Art-Glass/Antique-Kralik--Applied-Fruit-w-Foliage--Optic-Ribbed-Vase--Excellent--#

Is my item *a glass bowl* (not as in Rose bowl - too big) or *a vase*???
    9. SEAN68 SEAN68, 11 years ago
I changed my mind of what I said , its more of a ART DECO ERA . Than any thing else , so it is a deco bowl and not a Rose Bowl!!
    10. antiquerose antiquerose, 11 years ago
      ....?? Art Nouveau ??
    11. SEAN68 SEAN68, 11 years ago
That could be another as well !!

      Thanks as always !!
    18. inky inky, 11 years ago
I would say it is definitely a vase and not a bowl....:-)
    19. antiquerose antiquerose, 11 years ago
Anyone have an idea on this? Country? maker? Age? Certain name for shape?

This one is driving me NUTS !!

      Lol

Hello antiquerose....did you get my comment and delete it, just wondering what happened to it....:-)
    21. antiquerose antiquerose, 11 years ago
@inky - Not sure if I did or not? I don't think I did -- was trying to edit one of my comments one day on a post, but I do not think it was this post. How does one edit here?? What was your comment as I am not sure if I saw it or not. You got me bewildered now.....?? More bewildered than normal.....LOL
    22. antiquerose antiquerose, 11 years ago
Just a Bump up to see if any ideas on this.....Thanks
    23. antiquerose antiquerose, 10 years ago
      Just bumping this myself.....

Does this *Steuben Vase* have any resemblances at all??

As it is described as [quote] "" STEUBEN QUALITY ART GLASS BOWL: Pink blown glass with amethyst applied decoration and raspberry pruints. 4" x 6"""

      http://www.burchardgalleries.com/auctions/1999/nov2199/l050b.jpg

The shape, and the applied decoration **KINDA** remind me of my post -- in a sense.......as still trying to figure this one out

.....Or Czech/bohemian/Victorian?? I am going Nuts over this one ???????
    24. antiquerose antiquerose, 10 years ago
just giving this a *bump up* to see if any new thoughts on this item.
    25. Moonhill Moonhill, 10 years ago
IMHO...If it has gold in the glass on the top, it may be Italian.
    26. antiquerose antiquerose, 10 years ago
yes -- it has light gold (but not flakes or speckles) in it....see the first pic.

it does have a polished rim too so ?? and ?? and ?? LOL
    27. antiquerose antiquerose, 10 years ago
okay, could this be STEUBEN ?

I just found this and see (maybe) some similarities (??):

      http://www.burchardgalleries.com/auctions/1999/nov2199/l050b.jpg

      Says there [Quote]:
""50B. STEUBEN QUALITY ART GLASS BOWL: Pink blown glass with amethyst applied decoration and raspberry pruints. 4" x 6". ""

      http://www.burchardgalleries.com/auctions/1999/nov2199/nov2199c.htm

Just throwing this out there....What do you think? I do not know much about STEUBEN glass as I do not own a piece --- unless this is one?? LOL
    28. antiquerose antiquerose, 10 years ago
...Still feeling it looks like ( similar in a sense) to the one posted at Burchard Galleries ( their is Steuban)????
    29. antiquerose antiquerose, 9 years ago
I have come down to the conclusion ( LOL ) you might call this a:

"" Antique Victorian Bohemian Art Glass Rose Bowl Vase Applied Rigaree ""

I think that covers every description....LOL
    30. antiquerose antiquerose, 9 years ago
Drives me NUTS -- this post!! As I think this piece is a quality piece, but I am not getting anywhere in making an ID, or year.....or anything!!

Only things I can find a BIT close ??? if you want to call it that:

      http://thumbs.ebaystatic.com/images/g/s-UAAOSwHjNV9~68/s-l225.jpg
