My mother worked in the Cameron Clay pottery for only a few years 1939-42 but she remembers the "Red room" and how they had their own kiln in that department. Mom said after the war started the red paint was replaced by a paint that did not go on as well, I wonder if this compares to the radioactive red of Fiesta?I love red pottery from Cameron, it has a creamy white interior and is sometimes called 'orange' or tomato orange in descriptions. I love the red teapot I got from Etsy because it is pictured in an old ad. When I opened the box I felt transported back to another time.
