Best five bucks I've spent in a long time! I think the tablet is not original but oddly, I've seen other clocks with the same tablet so that is a bit of a mystery. With a bit of tweaking, she's purring away. Face is a little rough but I think original. It is a pretty early one, I think. Pic is pre-cleaning (right after I bought it.) Can anyone give me more info on my new ole gal?
Nice example at an incredible price! Can you provide case and dial/face measurements?
Also, a photo of the movement could be helpful.
It is my mom's house right now (mom=clock doctor) but I gave her a call & here are the measurements she took: case is 15.5"Wx26"Hx4"D and the face is 9.5". She was measuring with a yardstick in semi-dark so she said they are approximate, lol. I'll have to get back to you on the movement photo. :)
From the information you've given my best guess would be circa 1880 give or take a decade. Nice clock. Thanks for sharing.
Hi, I inherited a very similar Seth Thomas clock with different artwork on the glass door, from my father and grandfather. My brother never gave me the 2 keys for it so I can't wind it up. Any ideas on where I can get the 2 right-sized keys? Thanks very much!
