Jan Gabrhel Vase

a vase designed by the czech glass designer jan gabrhel (B.1930) for the czechoslovakian glassworks chlum u t?ebon?. different shapes has been produced with this pattern.
as far as i know a design from 1967

gabrel studied at the Zelezny Brod glass school from 1946-50. After he finished his studies he became a designer at the Cesky Kristal glassworks at Chlum u Trebone.

his design has been awarded at the Milan Triennale in 1960, two gold medals at the Liberec Trade Fairs (1965 & 1967)and (what a name for an award) the "outstanding design of the year award" (1973 & 1986), or the "outstanding product price by the ministry of industry in 1980"...

Jan Gabrhel's designs has been exhibited all over the world, for example the World Expositions in Montreal in 1967 and Osaka in 1970.
