Kool cigarette ash tray with "Willie" the penguin

This is another Ebay find. A Kool advertising ash tray featuring one of my very favorite advertising characters, Willie The Penguin. I'm not sure of the date, but I'd guess it to be from the 60's...quite possibly earlier, but not much.

It's made of a white milk glass with (maybe) a screen printed design. It's in great shape and normally holds various screws from computers and laptops at my place of employment. Another one of my "working" collectibles.

As a child I remember seeing Kool advertising with Willie The Penguin and I'd have to say their advertising was effective. He was my 2nd favorite advertising mascot, right after Mr. Peanut.
