Looking for some history on this set that my Grandmother got in 1943. The large bowl is 5x10. The four small bowls are 3x6. There is a flower pattern on all in a gold gilding.

appears to be Northwood & Co. 'Carnelian', c.1903, in canary (Vaseline) opalescent; AKA: Everglades

Lovely,.....has it any numbers or letters on the base?

Northwood wasn't marking their glass at the time this pattern was made. Subsequently they did mark many items with the an underscored N, and also underscored N within a circle.

Gee that's frustrating. Glass makers were very slow to this, I suppose in the. Ain't due to the difficulty in marking hand blown items.but moulds you think would be Mark.
I've got a bunch of Davidson unmarked, which is good because it's early...

Lovely glass , you're very lucky to have...:)

certainly would make IDs much easier if the old glass makers had included logos in their molds. Tho' even after several started doing that none seemed to be very consistent. That's part of the fun with EAPG; the challenge in finding the right ID out of thousands of patterns.

Unfortunately, it doesn't have any markings on any of the 5 pieces. Thank you Tallcakes for giving me a name.

You're very welcome. Hope you can keep it in the family. This is typically called a berry set; with the larger as the master berry and the smaller as berry bowls.
