This 925 silver sami ring is made by Kirsti Gulsrund, Karasjok, Norway. I fell in love instantly with this ring and knew I had to have it. I like sami silver and this ring has features that goes way back in history. The little rings hanging from the ring itself is something you can see on rings that are very old and shown in museums. Look at the small rings - how delicately made! I also like the makersmark that is in the shape of a grouse. It goes so well together with the feeling about this ring. I´ve been told this ring was made in the 1970's but I don´t know for sure. The ring doesn't tell its age ;-) and age doesn't matter when you're inlove.

That is so nice to hear. First time ever that I've found somewhere where there is a chance that someone might see and understand what it is you see in something. The jewellry I collect I also wear and even if people often say that a piece is nice or beautiful I often feel they don't understand really. On the otherhand ofcourse the most important thing is that you like it youself. By taking this step in sharing like this I guess I'm taking my own interest more seriously - ofcourse I need a forum! I have to get more confidence in this first I think. I'm trying to save up some courage to post what I think might be a real Hector Aguilar brooch. But the Mexican stuff seams hard to be sure about. I've been looking at the stamps over and over again comparing with information on line, and I think I might be right but you can deceive yourself I know. I have more scandinavian silver and is on the lookout for more :-).
