Great piece. I went to the antique mall today that had the depression glass glasses that were $40 each and they had been sold. But now there are some that are only $36 each to take their place.

Thank you VF. It does glow, I'll update the photos in a bit. I actually thought this was a small shaker, I didn't realize it was a miniature. It's only thumb size.

      Optic Paneled?
    13. fortapache fortapache, 11 years ago
Could be Pillar Optic. Unkown if they made a salt shaker.

I'm not sure fort. I was hoping TCL would know.
I had the strangest thing happen with this piece. The seller Contacted me immediately after I left (positive) feedback... She mentioned she noticed I used the words small and miniature. I told her I left positive feedback even tho I was dissapointed. I didn't want to complain so I didn't contact her after I received it. Even tho it was very disappointing to expect a regular size shaker and receive a miniature one. So then the seller contacted me again Today saying she saw that I posted it on cw and she's glad that I'm happy with it. Not sure how posting on cw say I'm happy with it or why she keeps contacting me about it. Kinda uncomfortable. Really wishing I hadn't purchased it now.

I'm not sure either. That is kind of strange about that seller. Hopefully she is satisfied. I think the small size makes it interesting.
    16. Aimathena Aimathena, 11 years ago
Maybe she just really wants happy buyers. I don't know, but addressing that I used the words small and miniature made me feel bad. I only wanted help other buyers pay better attn than I did. I just wish she had mentioned miniature in the auction and took photos of it next to something to show its size. Seems, every seller teaches me something new. I took photos of it next to a set of small shakers and its almost half their size.

it is an interesting and unique little individual shaker. The crimped-on aluminum lid with the smaller screw-on is unique and haven't been able to locate a similar in this size. But the glass pattern and similar crimped aluminum was made by hocking in a 'Steepletop' shaker; leading me to think maybe Hocking for this:
