I won this on Ebay and it arrived the other day. The bowl is 11 inches across. It did not mention in the description that it has a crack and tiny chip in the rim, but the shop says 'no returns'. I haven't bought that much stuff on ebay, but aren't they legally responsible for writing accurate descriptions? I have asked for a refund. it's a beautiful bowl though!

That's a shame ho2cultcha it is very nice.... and no doubt omitted on purpose. Paypal does have their buyer protection plan, but not everyone uses Paypal to pay for their purchases. I don't have a problem with them but others don't like their fees. Hope it wasn't too expensive. You could claim it was damaged in transit if it was insured. but judging from the description it probably wasn't. -Mike-

Agreed with Mike... If ebay doesn't take care of it, you can use Paypal's policy...

thank you mikelv85 and drfluffy. the seller refunded 50%, which i'm grateful for. i couldn't afford to pay full price for awaji ware these days anyways.
