I have a thing for portrait busts and this one is pretty unique, i think. He looks Greek or maybe Italian and a little bit Neanderthal. There's a few chips in it, but i really like this pottery head anyways. I bought it at an antique store in alameda today. What do you think?

I think it looks a bit biblical - as you say that Greek/Italian look, a bit flummoxed or just considering, and a distant view.
Or maybe a neanderthal wondering where the fire stick went!

Unique find . I think he looks like a made in Mexico version of possibly Jesus ?

i just added some more pics of the neanderthal jesus bust. i hope nobody takes offense at me calling it that. i have no qualms w/ either neanderthals nor jesus, but the name is sticking!
