So I Dont have much information I can share but would love to know more history on this piece if anyone can share it with me. This piece was owned by my great aunt who came to the states from Poland. I believe it may be Czech but not sure. It appears to be black but when the light hits it almost it appears purple. I'm amazed at how dark the interior is since I shined a flashlight inside and nothing shined out and vice versus. Pitch black. There are no symbols or marking that show the date and the design I believe is gold. She passed a few years back and my mom wanted to get rid of some things and I was drawn to this piece immediately. Any information anyone could share I'd appreciate. Dont care about the value the sentimental value is huge. Just want to know the time frame the history and if this piece is in fact Czech Bohemian glass as I'm suspecting. No dates only lines on the interior of the giant decanter horizontal so potentially hand blown or pieces out of a mold... Only seams I can find. No dates. No designer names. Nothing.
Throwing this out there as a possibility: ??
Czech -- Borske Sklo from the 50s/60s. There's some similar decorated with gilt in Mark Hills Hi Sklo Lo Sklo. Also they sometimes have the *Belfor label* on them
