My Mystery Figurine

Numbered, very faintly stamped "Handmade in Portugal" on bottom. I purchased seven of these figurines. I think they may be by the same artist but some are signed and some are numbered (like this one.) I at first thought they may be Antonio Borsato but......he produced in Italy, not Portugal. I thought perhaps "Norleans" (import company generics) but I cannot find any of them under that, either. Being that they are numbered and/or signed tells me they might not be run of the mill knock-offs, but I could be mistaken. There are a few figurines like the ones I've purchased on ebay and etsy but no one seems to list any info for them. Does anyone have any clue from where they might have originated? (besides Portugal, lol)
