italian or czech or chinese?
I would just say "Nerox border."
I found two instances on the net of its use in German. Both were concerned with similar Vittorio Ferro vases. The use of the word Nerox is Italian, I suppose. It would be a combo of the two words 'nero' - black and 'ossidabile'- tarnished. It is used with glass from Ermanno Toso for Fratelli Toso: la série Nerox.
At first I thought that Nerox might be translated as Metallic Black.
But I have see other pieces from the NEROX series that are not black. But the finish is metallic and slightly matte. I have seen mention that the colour of the glass tarnished as it cooled. The effect is like tarnished silver.
In English and in German NEROX is used rather than translating the expression.
I think It's so nice. Looks like a dark vase covered in ice :-).
beautiful!!
