First & 2nd pic: 2 rows graduated jadeite beads (close pic on my precedent post, dark green silk threading)
3rd pic: long row of jadeite beads 9.3mm (jade green silk threading)
4th pic: the two necklaces together
Very difficult to catch the actual color!!!
As I said, these are old, 1930 for the graduated one, certainly older for the long one. As they were enjoyed and wore for a long time, I polished them with spécial jade wax (not bee wax but chinese insect secretion eeek!)
This is a special post for shrine!
kyratango - Thank you for your special treatment for me :) I have problem to load your pics in full size on my PC, still trying. Perhaps the image size overloaded my internet. Totally agree that it's hard to photo a jadeite and think you did it in the right way - take photos outdoor in shaded area with light color background. Simply great effort.
As far as I can see in the smaller pics, I am leaning to Jadeite since I can't see 'swirl - like' patterns on the beads. Taking into account of the age, old polishing and waxed surface, they would fell into the right category.
I've uploaded my jadeite beads de-waxed, which had been tested in lab before I bough it. Not as rare as yours, just a jadeite sample.

oh, my PC finally did me a favor to load the pic in full size. I would like to confirm what I said above.
You have a rare collection.
Thanks a lot!
For my part, I prefer looking at pictures on my smart phone or tablet as you can enlarge as you want, and look at them in different light...
Dear friend Toracat posted long time ago a necklace with nice jade color and gilded head centerpiece that still intrigue me. I certainly would have buy it from the pic ;-)
Hi Those are beautiful! I would like to find out about mine, but do not know how, or where to take!?
Dear Don! Repost it because first post is far away, if you can get closer pics it would be great, precise size of beads would be of some help too.
To show them you would have to find a chinese jeweller as occidentals know nothing about This kind of stuff ;-)
If the jeweller try to buy it, you will know, even if he says it's junk!
Thanks all for your loves!
I just saw this and will repost for you dear! XXOOXX
I was actually on the board because I just saw a necklace yesterday, I think it is jade beads, and I might go back and get it, if still there... :) I do this all the time, I leave something behind... :)
Good luck!
